Avelo Airlines has announced the addition of three new nonstop routes from Concord-Padgett Regional Airport to San Juan, Puerto Rico; West Palm Beach, Florida; and Albany, New York. The airline will be the only carrier providing direct flights between Concord and these destinations. The service is set to begin in October 2025 using Boeing Next-Generation 737 aircraft.
The route to San Juan will operate twice weekly on Wednesdays and Saturdays starting October 22, 2025. Flights to both West Palm Beach and Albany will run four times a week on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Sundays beginning October 23, 2025. One-way fares start at $57 for travel between Concord and West Palm Beach for select dates.
Andrew Levy, Founder and CEO of Avelo Airlines, stated: “Avelo’s three new nonstop routes in Charlotte / Concord showcases the continued demand for convenient, affordable and industry-leading reliability in the Queen City region. Likewise, getting to Charlotte and everything the Concord area has to offer is now easier than ever for those Puerto Rico, West Palm Beach and Albany travelers. As the only airline offering nonstop service to these destinations from USA, we are making it more convenient and affordable for our Queen City Customers to enjoy Avelo’s eight popular nonstop destinations.”
Concord Mayor Bill Dusch commented on the expansion: “It’s exciting to see our partnership with Avelo continue to grow. The addition of these routes brings Avelo’s total number of nonstop destinations served from Concord-Padgett Regional Airport (USA) to eight. Other cities include Boston/Manchester (NH), Lakeland/Orlando (FL), New Haven (CT), New York/Long Island (NY), and Rochester (NY).
Since its launch in April 2021, Avelo Airlines has flown over 7.7 million customers on more than 61,000 flights across 50 cities in 20 states plus Puerto Rico as well as Jamaica, Mexico, and the Dominican Republic. The airline focuses on serving smaller airports that offer faster check-ins compared with larger hubs like Charlotte Douglas International Airport.
Avelo ranked first in on-time performance among U.S. airlines in 2024 according to Anuvu data used by The Wall Street Journal (AveloAir.com). It also reported one of the lowest flight cancellation rates in the industry.
